 Single Day Cooking Classes

Want to learn about Tuscan cooking, but looking for a shorter option?Single Day cooking class2012 Nov

Ecco la Cucina offers one, two or three day classes. While you’re in Tuscany, join us for one, two, or three fun mornings in the kitchen for a hands-on Italian cooking class concentrating on the foods and wines of this beautiful region. Held on a lovely estate south of Siena in a restored 900 year old flour mill, or in the kitchen of your holiday home, the class enables you to learn more about Italian cuisine and to develop new skills to replicate classic Tuscan cooking at home.

All Tuscan Cooking Classes are taught in English and begin at 10 a.m. preparing the four-course meal we will enjoy after the three hour lesson. An chris and victoriaexample of the types of dishes we’ll prepare: for the antipasto, we’ll make stuffed zucchini flowers or fried porcini mushrooms, forthe first course, we’ll make pasta by hand, and will complete such dishes as tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms or ravioli with sage and butter. The second course will feature a traditional meat dish such as chicken with Vin Santo or roast pork with Tuscan herbs, along with seasonal vegetables, and the lunch will finish with a wonderful Tuscan dessert such as cantucci or crostata.

An all-vegetarian menu is available upon request and lunch is served with wines of Chianti.

Cost is 150 euro per person, payable at the time of the lesson.
Class fee includes a copy of Gina’s latest cookbook!
