Whether your vacation dreams are to spend a morning cooking or a week learning and living as a Tuscan, we can help you fulfill that dream and come away with beautiful memories. Ecco La Cucina is located near Siena in Tuscany and offers both single day hands-on cooking classes and week long culinary vacations. Each will provide you with insights to this beautiful, rich culture.
In Italian, Ecco La Cucina means “Here’s the Kitchen”, and we explore all aspects of the Italian table with Gina’s cooking classes and our culinary vacation tours. Our classes are small and intimate, designed to let you hone your skills and learn new recipes and techniques. True to the Italian way of eating, the meals prepared will focus on fresh seasonal produce and quality local ingredients. Experiencing Tuscany through its food and wines allows you to truly understand the rhythm of Italian life. Let us show you the tastes of Italy – for a day or a week.
One Day Cooking Classes
Join Gina for a morning or two in the kitchen for a hands-on cooking class focusing on the traditional foods and wines of Tuscany. The classes are held on a lovely estate in a 900-year-old mill with a large stone kitchen. The four-course lunch we prepare is paired with three wines from the region. You will also receive a copy of Gina’s cookbook, “Ecco La Cucina”. Find out more
Week long Culinary Tours of Italy
Our all inclusive cooking class and wine tour package gives you an in-depth experience of Italian cooking and the Tuscan way of life. Your accommodations are on a lovely olive estate just south of Siena in an 18th century villa or farmhouse renovated with care to include many of the original Tuscan architectural features. Walking trails through olive groves or cypress lined lanes give you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Tuscany. The culinary tour includes a full week – cooking lessons, visits to local wine and food producers, wine tours, 7 nights’ accommodations, most all meals with wine and visits to quaint local villages. During the week we will open up the world of Tuscan wines from the basics to the complexities of this varied region.
Naples and Sorrento coast
We are excited to share with you one of our favorite places in Italy, the culinary treasures of Naples and the beautiful region of Campania. The freshest of seafood, just-made buffalo milk mozzarella, exquisite authentic pizza, lovely wines from the slopes of Mt Vesuvius, local San Marzano tomatoes, and traditional semolina pasta from original pasta towns are all explored during our weeklong tour of this region. Join us to discover this historic region by immersing yourself in its food, wines and culture. The accommodations are in a beautiful former palazzo converted to a luxurious hotel overlooking the Sorrento coast and bay of Naples.
